The boundary between THORN and AMULET

Names do not replace registry identity

• The THORN form also appears in separate AMULET-family pieces: Thorn Amulet Earring #21 — Grey Tourmaline (M), and Thorn Amulet Earring #6 — Green Tourmaline (M).

• Other AMULET-family variations that reuse the THORN form: Thorn Amulet Earring #8 — Green Tourmaline (S), and Thorn Amulet Earring #9 — Pink Tourmaline (L).

• One precision the canon fixes separately: the THORN family is not the same as the Thorn Amulet. The THORN Amulet repeats the THORN form in volume, yet it belongs to the AMULET family and sounds through the RITUAL world. The Thorn Ring belongs to the THORN family.

Shared form is not shared family identity. AMULET examples repeat the thorn in volume with tourmaline while remaining outside THORN. Product names preserve the visual relation; AMULET and RITUAL preserve the actual placement. Both facts are needed, otherwise a product route would rewrite the family map.

THORN inside the CODEX world

World, family and repeatable form

THORN is a family of the CODEX world. CODEX is clear lines and silver for every day: the form by which STRUGA is recognised. CODEX does not observe the world — it is a workshop for creating forms. Here STRUGA gives birth to a form that did not exist before and carries it through different types of objects — from a chain link to a pendant, from a carabiner to an earring. That is how recognisability appears: a style and a form that read as STRUGA at first glance.

CODEX is minimalism: simple lines, simple yet recognisable forms. Contemporary experimental minimalism. No stones, no inlays — only pure, uncoated silver that oxidises on contact with the world. Objects of this world are made for everyday wear, for the night and the club, for travel and parties. THORN speaks this language literally: a sharp angle instead of decoration.

CODEX is the world; THORN is its form and family. The repeated angle connects chains, bracelets, earrings and rings without becoming applied decoration.

From one chain link to a family

The canonical sequence

The history of THORN is short and precise — it fits into a single canonical line.

THORN began as a chain link. The links became bracelets and chokers; then came the simple THORN earrings; then the Big Thorn Bracelet — the brand's first rigid bracelet; and the Thorn Ring.

This is the CODEX method at work: a form that did not exist before, carried through different types of objects — from a chain link to a ring. Each step did not change the thorn; it gave the thorn a new place on the body.

The lineage describes sequence, not a ranking. Beginning with a chain link does not make later objects secondary copies. Each step tests the same thorn against another position and another construction: connected links, a rigid wrist object, a close ear object or a ring that holds visual weight. The canon stays precise because it names the order without inventing dates or unsupported prototypes.

What the THORN family contains now

A dated catalogue reading

• The third form of the brand — a thorn. Sharp angles, two aesthetics joined: CNC and 3D-modelling. THORN began as a chain link and grew into a large family: chokers, earrings, rings, bracelets.

• The family lives in bracelets, chokers, earrings and rings; the THORN Amulet sounds through the RITUAL world as an object. Behind every type stands the same sharp angle: the form does not dissolve into categories — the categories only carry it across the body.

The current family spans neck, wrist, ear and hand. The sharp angle persists while its carrier changes.

The form on the neck and wrist

Flexible and rigid readings

• Around the neck — the choker: a short necklace, close to the throat. STRUGA chokers read as a line of architecture, not as decoration.

• On the wrist the form has two characters. The chain bracelet — a flexible bracelet of links with a clasp; STRUGA carries many chain bracelets on the wrist, and the THORN chain is one of them. And the rigid character: the Big Thorn Bracelet — the current rigid cuff bracelet of STRUGA on the wrist, a sculptural object with carbon elements and the visible STRUGA geometry.

On the wrist, construction changes the reading. A linked bracelet lets the angle repeat and move around the body; the rigid bracelet holds one continuous sculptural gesture. At the neck, the choker turns repetition into a close architectural line. These are different placements of the documented family form, not new claims about dimensions, weight or fit.

The form on the ear and hand

Two scales of presence

On the ear the form works at two scales. Studs — a small earring sitting close to the lobe; THORN studs are among the STRUGA examples. The ear cuff — a self-sufficient form for a single accent or an asymmetric stack; STRUGA ear cuffs sit in the BLADE, SIGNATURE ASYMMETRIC, BRUTALISM, THORN and CARBON families — oxidised 925 silver with carbon elements.

On the hand — the statement ring: a ring made to hold visual weight. Larger, more sculptural, more pronounced than the everyday. In STRUGA this is where BRUTALISM, THORN, FUSED and Triple Drills live. Signet rings — rings with a flat or slightly domed plate — sit in the BRUTALISM and THORN families.

Ear and hand objects concentrate the form differently. A stud keeps the thorn close to the lobe; an ear cuff holds an asymmetric accent. A ring transfers visual weight to the hand, while a signet organises it around a plate. These are object roles, not universal gender or sizing rules.

What CNC and 3D language means here

The third form of the brand. THORN — a thorn with sharp angles.

THORN brings together two aesthetics — CNC and 3D-modelling; it carries traits of both. THORN pricks the skin a little — and will not let you forget it.

CNC and 3D modelling name the joined aesthetics in the canon. They explain the precision and constructed character of the angle; they do not by themselves prove the full manufacturing route of every current object. The safe conclusion is formal: THORN replaces applied decoration with a sharp line that stays readable in uncoated silver as the surface changes through contact. The phrase also distinguishes design language from catalogue taxonomy: CODEX remains the world, THORN remains the family, and CNC or 3D is not introduced as another family name. That separation keeps a formal description from becoming an unsupported production or registry claim.

How to choose the right family route

Choose by the object, not the shared word

For STRUGA, THORN is the aesthetic of the thorn: a sharp angle that holds beauty.

A form that began as a chain link now lives on the neck, the wrist, the ear and the hand — view the THORN family.

Choose THORN when the family itself is the brief: a sharp CODEX form in an object without a raw stone. A thorn-shaped object with a raw wild-growth stone belongs to AMULET and the RITUAL world, even when its product name contains Thorn. The shared word links the forms; the presence of the stone separates their canonical routes. THORN family composition therefore excludes amulets and remains limited to chokers, earrings, rings and bracelets. AMULET is an open family united by raw stone; its Classic and Thorn types describe different forms, and every amulet is a one-of-one object.

What this draft can prove

The family map is closed and its names are not translated. CODEX names the world, THORN its third form and family, while AMULET belongs to RITUAL. This resolves an apparent tension in the lineage: Thorn Amulet may appear in the full sequence because it carries the thorn form, yet it is absent from the short THORN family composition because its raw stone places it in AMULET. Chokers, earrings, rings and bracelets remain the THORN members. Family names remain in English on both storefronts, so translation never creates another entity. The live collections show the corresponding public routes. Together the entity registry, craft book and collections support membership, sequence and identity, but not measurements, stock, universal fit or an undocumented manufacturing step.
