THORN — the Story of the Form

The third form of the brand. THORN — a thorn with sharp angles.

THORN brings together two aesthetics — CNC and 3D-modelling; it carries traits of both. THORN pricks the skin a little — and will not let you forget it.

Where the form comes from

THORN is a family of the CODEX world. CODEX is clear lines and silver for every day: the form by which STRUGA is recognised. CODEX does not observe the world — it is a workshop for creating forms. Here STRUGA gives birth to a form that did not exist before and carries it through different types of objects — from a chain link to a pendant, from a carabiner to an earring. That is how recognisability appears: a style and a form that read as STRUGA at first glance.

CODEX is minimalism: simple lines, simple yet recognisable forms. Contemporary experimental minimalism. No stones, no inlays — only pure, uncoated silver that oxidises on contact with the world. Objects of this world are made for everyday wear, for the night and the club, for travel and parties. THORN speaks this language literally: a sharp angle instead of decoration.

How the form was born

The history of THORN is short and precise — it fits into a single canonical line.

THORN began as a chain link. The links became bracelets and chokers; then came the THORN Amulet, repeating the form in volume, with raw wild-growth stones; then the simple THORN earrings; then the Big Thorn Bracelet — the brand's first rigid bracelet; and the Thorn Ring.

This is the CODEX method at work: a form that did not exist before, carried through different types of objects — from a chain link to a ring. Each step did not change the thorn; it gave the thorn a new place on the body.

One precision the canon fixes separately: the THORN family is not the same as the Thorn Amulet. The THORN Amulet repeats the THORN form in volume, yet it belongs to the AMULET family and sounds through the RITUAL world. The Thorn Ring belongs to the THORN family.

What the family holds today

The third form of the brand — a thorn. Sharp angles, two aesthetics joined: CNC and 3D-modelling. THORN began as a chain link and grew into a large family: chokers, earrings, amulets, rings, bracelets.

The family lives in bracelets, chokers, earrings and rings; the THORN Amulet sounds through the RITUAL world as an object. Behind every type stands the same sharp angle: the form does not dissolve into categories — the categories only carry it across the body.

How the form lives on the body

Around the neck — the choker: a short necklace, close to the throat. STRUGA chokers read as a line of architecture, not as decoration.

On the wrist the form has two characters. The chain bracelet — a flexible bracelet of links with a clasp; STRUGA carries many chain bracelets on the wrist, and the THORN chain is one of them. And the rigid character: the Big Thorn Bracelet — the current rigid cuff bracelet of STRUGA on the wrist, a sculptural object with carbon elements and the visible STRUGA geometry.

On the ear the form works at two scales. Studs — a small earring sitting close to the lobe; THORN studs are among the STRUGA examples. The ear cuff — a self-sufficient form for a single accent or an asymmetric stack; STRUGA ear cuffs sit in the BLADE, SIGNATURE ASYMMETRIC, BRUTALISM, THORN and CARBON families — oxidised 925 silver with carbon elements.

On the hand — the statement ring: a ring made to hold visual weight. Larger, more sculptural, more pronounced than the everyday. In STRUGA this is where BRUTALISM, THORN, FUSED and Triple Drills live. Signet rings — rings with a flat or slightly domed plate — sit in the BRUTALISM and THORN families.

For STRUGA, THORN is the aesthetic of the thorn: a sharp angle that holds beauty.
