About STRUGA. STRUGA is a dark silver jewelry brand founded by Dmitry Strugovshchikov and Ekaterina Strugovshchikova, handcrafted in our Bali workshop by master silversmiths. Every piece is 925 sterling silver, naturally oxidized or hand-patinated. The darkening is part of the design. It is a brutalist object that reacts and changes through contact with the environment and the wearer.

How much does the chain weigh and how does it sit on the neck?
The Thorn chain is 11 g of 925 sterling silver. The weight is present but never pulls on the neck. The links are medium-sized, suited to everyday wear.
Do the sharp angles scratch the skin?
Each link carries a sharp angle — that is what makes THORN a thorn. It makes itself felt against the skin, a light prickle, but it does not scratch and does not catch on clothing. It is part of the family's character, not a flaw.
Why does the silver darken, and how do I care for it?
The surface is Living Silver — 925 silver with no rhodium plating. The chain arrives light and darkens with air and skin: recessed areas of the relief deepen, while friction lightens the raised edges. The patina is a property, not a defect. To bring the metal back toward the light, care for it with a soft cloth or a silver-cleaning solution. Avoid harsh chemicals and ultrasonic baths.
