A wax model, a silicone form, 925 silver, and hand finishing. THORN is the design code born from STRUGA's earliest CNC work: a barb with sharp angles, where machining meets 3D modelling. The family began as a single chain link and grew into bracelets, a chain, a ring and earrings; on the ear the same form becomes a compact architectural brace. Living Silver finish — recesses darken with time, friction keeps the raised edges bright.

How it is made, and how it sits
The form is modelled first — in 3D or by hand in wax. A silicone mould is taken from that model, silver is cast into it, and a silversmith finishes the piece by hand. The THORN barb keeps its angles through that finishing: the edges are left deliberately sharp, so the cuff pricks the skin lightly and keeps making itself noticed.
It sits on the upper edge of the ear: press the band gently to the ear and it holds its own shape; it comes off just as easily. At 2.6 grams it is the lightest of STRUGA's silver cuffs in size L — the weight is barely there, the edges are what you feel. Worn alone, in a pair, or opposite an earring on the other side.

Who it is for, and when
The cuff is made for an ear with no piercing — and for one that has piercings already and needs something above them. It grips the outer edge, holds by its own spring, and leaves nothing behind at the end of the day.
Worn alone it reads as a deliberate object on an otherwise bare ear. Worn next to studs it becomes the sharp end of the row. It is a natural second object for someone who already wears the Thorn Ring or a Thorn Bracelet and wants the same barb higher up. It travels well: no clasp to fail, nothing to unscrew in a bag.
Where it does not work: sleeping in it. The sharp edges press into the ear under a pillow, and the cuff is better off on the table overnight.
