Frequently asked questions
Are Living Silver and oxidized silver the same thing?
No. Living Silver is a property: 925 sterling silver with no rhodium plating that darkens on its own as you wear it, so the patina deepens year after year. Oxidation is a technique: the piece is darkened deliberately in the workshop. An anniversary ring in Living Silver keeps time visible instead of fixing a single shade.
Which ring families are in this section?
Rings only, drawn from across the CODEX world: from the slim links of Signature to the raw mass of BRUTALISM and the edge of THORN. BRUTALISM rings are the heaviest in the brand. If you want a wedding ring in dark silver, look at the DARK UNION world — a different take on the engagement and wedding ring, currently made as a custom order through a brief.
Are the THORN family and the Thorn Amulet the same thing?
No. THORN is a ring family in the CODEX world, built around a sharp edge. The Thorn Amulet is a separate type within the AMULET family of the RITUAL world. They share a word, not a form: for an anniversary ring, you are looking at the THORN family.
Will the ring darken over the years?
Yes. 925 sterling silver without rhodium is Living Silver, so the patina deepens year after year — much like the date itself. This is a property of the material, not wear and not a defect. If you prefer a lighter surface, it can be hand-polished back to bright silver.
