Is Living Silver the same as oxidized silver?
No. Living Silver is a property: 925 sterling silver with no plating, which darkens and gathers patina on its own over time. Oxidation is a technique — a deliberate darkening applied in the workshop. In this collection the dark silver comes from Living Silver, so the patina reflects how the piece is worn.
Will the patina wear off — is it a defect?
Patina is a property, not a defect. Living Silver is 925 sterling silver with no coating, so there is nothing to rub away and no other metal underneath to show through. Over time the surface takes on its owner's patina, and the object becomes hers alone. If she prefers, it can be brought back to a lighter silver.
What size should I choose if I don't know hers?
Ear cuffs and chains need no size, and small studs sit quietly and hold — reliable options when a fitting is not possible. Slim rings and other sized pieces are better chosen when you know her measurement, or when you plan to adjust later.
