How to find your ring size
Before choosing a STRUGA ring size, decide which finger and hand you will wear it on and choose a model. STRUGA sizes describe the inside diameter in millimetres. You can estimate it at home using a ring that already fits or a strip of paper around your finger. If the result is uncertain, a jeweller can help you try a ring sizer: a set of rings used to check fit.
Choose the ring before confirming the size
Keep the product page open as you measure. For example, compare Thorn Ring, Brutalism V.1 and Signature Links V.1, then check the sizes listed for the one you want. Rings with the same inside diameter can feel different when their widths differ. Choose the intended finger and hand before taking a measurement.
Measure an existing ring
A round ring that already fits that finger is a useful starting point. Take a ruler marked in millimetres or a caliper.
- Choose a ring that sits comfortably on the intended finger.
- Measure straight across its opening, from inside edge to inside edge. Leave the metal out of the measurement.
- Write down the diameter in millimetres: an 18 mm opening corresponds to size 18.
A ring worn on another finger or hand may give the wrong starting size. Do not use an oval or bent ring for this calculation; the diameter-to-circumference conversion below applies to a circular opening.
Estimate from the finger
Without a suitable ring, a strip of paper can give you an estimate.
- Wrap it around the base of the intended finger without pulling it tight.
- Mark the overlap, flatten the strip and measure up to the mark in millimetres.
- Form the strip into a loop at the mark and check that it passes over the knuckle; then repeat the measurement.
You have measured circumference. Divide it by π, approximately 3.14, to estimate the diameter. Paper and string are rough guides: string stretches, and humidity can affect paper. If the readings differ, try a jeweller’s ring sizer rather than rounding the uncertainty into a size.
What the numbers mean
Use the table to compare your measurement. It describes the same circular opening in two ways: inside diameter and inside circumference. Circumference equals diameter multiplied by π; a 17 mm diameter, for example, gives about 53.4 mm.
The table is a conversion chart, not a list of sizes in stock. Check the options on the selected product page. If you know your size in a US, UK or Japanese system, send both the number and the system: “7” on its own cannot be compared with a diameter in millimetres.

Check width, knuckle and conditions
Next, check how a ring passes over the knuckle and sits at the base of the finger. It should go over the knuckle with light resistance and remain comfortable in wear. For a wide ring, try a sizing band of a similar width; there is no universal rule to add half a size.
Take the measurement when your hands are at a normal, comfortable temperature, rather than immediately after cold, heat or exercise. If the fit varies during the day, compare readings before choosing a size.
Send a useful measurement
For online sizing advice, send the product link, the intended finger and hand, and your measurement with its unit: either the ring’s inside diameter or the finger’s circumference. Mention a result that falls between the listed options before ordering.
A photograph can help explain the measurement. Place a millimetre ruler in the same plane as the ring and photograph it straight from above. A tilted view distorts the scale, and an unidentified coin does not provide a reliable reference. STRUGA can discuss the measurement with you; a photograph does not replace trying a ring sizer.

Most clients choose a ring from the current collection. If the listed forms or sizes do not include what you need, discuss the request through Custom Order. The available changes depend on the model.
Dark Union is the collection for wedding rings, paired vow rings and alternative wedding designs. Each partner’s ring is sized separately. An approximate measurement can begin the conversation; confirm the final size when ordering. For an individual order, take a fresh measurement of the intended finger.
Do not depend on resizing later: Brutalism V.1 and V.3 cannot be resized after manufacture because adjustment would damage the relief. If you are choosing a surprise ring and are unsure of the size, discuss the applicable exchange or resizing conditions first.
Ring sizing for the international market
For the international market, STRUGA objects are made in Bali. When choosing from the international storefront, compare your measurement in millimetres with the sizes listed for the particular ring.

01What does size 18 mean at STRUGA?+–
It means an inside diameter of 18 mm. A circular opening of that diameter has a circumference of about 56.5 mm. Check the chosen product’s options; for an international label, give the sizing system as well as the number.
02Can I find my ring size at home?+–
