How it works
Five steps from idea to piece

Piece type, references, size if known, rough budget, and deadline if there is one.
We clarify direction
Form, material, finish, scale, technical feasibility, and timeline. You get a rough estimate before anything is paid.
Deposit and sketch
The consultation deposit starts the sketch work and is credited toward the final quote. A new design includes two sketch rounds and one revision of the 3D model.
Approval and quote
Once you approve the sketch, we set the final quote and you pay the balance.
Made in Bali, checked before shipping
From sketch approval, it takes 2–4 weeks to make, finish, and photograph the piece and prepare it for pickup or worldwide shipping.

How the price is built
The price is built one of two ways, depending on whether we modify a catalog piece or design a new one from scratch. Every line is listed up front, before any work starts.

Final quote — fixed once the sketch is approvedby agreement
Before the sketch is approved, only the consultation deposit is paid, and it counts toward the total. A polished, matte, or black-oxidized finish and half ring sizes cost nothing extra: they are regular catalog orders, not custom work. Engraving on a catalog piece is free as well.

Do I need a finished sketch?
No. A rough idea, reference, stone photo, or description is enough to start.
When do I pay?
First, the $250 consultation deposit: it is paid before sketch work begins and credited toward the final quote. The rest is paid once you approve the sketch and the quote.
Can you copy another jewelry design?
We can use references for direction, but we do not make direct copies. The final piece should be translated into the STRUGA language.
Can I use my own stone or material?
Usually yes. Send photos, dimensions, and any details you have. We'll confirm what is technically possible.
How long does a custom piece take?
Usually 2–4 weeks from sketch approval, often sooner: material, casting and finishing, with shipping on top — about a week. Simple adaptations are faster; if the piece is needed by a date, tell us before the brief is finalized.

How many revisions are included in the design?
Two sketch rounds and one revision of the 3D model. If you are modifying a catalog piece, there is no design fee.
Can you rework or melt down an old piece?
Usually yes. An old piece can become the material of a new object — send photos and a description, and we will confirm what is technically possible.
Will my piece be one of a kind?
Yes. A custom commission is an object that does not exist yet: it is made for you and does not enter the catalogue.
Can I get engraving?
Yes — dates, initials, symbols, or short private text. Engraving on a catalog piece is free.
Do you ship worldwide?
Yes — every commission ships worldwide from the Bali workshop.
Do you produce for other brands (private label)?
Yes. STRUGA works as a design and production facility for other brands — developing and manufacturing pieces under your label.
