Ear Cuffs

Silver and carbon at the edge of the ear. No piercing.

STRUGA ear cuffs need no piercing. The collection has 12 models: eight in 925 sterling silver and four in pure carbon fiber with no silver base. Weights range from 0.3 to about 7.5 g.

The BLADE ear cuff is an open link with flat facets. You can choose that form in silver or carbon fiber. The silver cuff and both carbon models are labelled L. The silver one weighs 3.8 g; each carbon model weighs 0.3 g. Size and weight tell you different things about the cuff.

Form at the ear

Start by looking at the shape of the link. SIGNATURE ASYMMETRIC uses STRUGA's original asymmetric link; THORN has the sharp edges of a barbed link. For a more pronounced relief, look at BRUTALISM: its surface is built from parallel plates, arranged differently in each version.

All four families are available in silver. The carbon cuffs come in BLADE and SIGNATURE ASYMMETRIC, each in two palettes: Classic Graphite and Arctic Graphite. Within a single form, you can compare the material as well as the surface.

Sterling silver or carbon fiber

The silver cuffs are made in 925 sterling silver without rhodium plating. The surface gradually changes with wear as patina develops. STRUGA calls this Living Silver. If you want a dark relief from the start, BRUTALISM V.3 in size M has an oxidized finish, applied during making.

The four carbon cuffs are pure carbon fiber, with no silver plate inside. They are the lightest models in the collection. The material also matters when considering fit: do not use silver adjustment methods on carbon fiber.

Choosing an ear cuff without a piercing

An ear cuff sits on the edge of the ear, without a post passing through a piercing. Once you have chosen the form and material, check the specifications for that model. M and L are catalogue size labels; the same letter across different families does not mean the same weight or fit.

All models are unisex, with no separate men's size chart. Look at the product photographs to compare proportions. A photograph or a weight alone cannot tell you how the cuff will fit your own ear. The ear cuff atlas explains fit and wear in more detail.

Model sizes and weights

The silver selection includes two smaller BRUTALISM M versions and several L models. Compare their weights with the carbon cuffs in the table: a larger outline does not necessarily mean a heavier object.

Do STRUGA ear cuffs need a piercing?
No. All 12 models in this collection sit on the edge of the ear without a piercing. Eight are 925 sterling silver and four are pure carbon fiber. Fit depends on the particular model and the shape of your ear.

Are these ear cuffs suitable for men?
Yes. STRUGA ear cuffs are designed for men and women. Choose the form and material, then check the size of the model: the collection has no separate men’s size chart.

Is Living Silver the same as oxidation?
No. Living Silver describes 925 silver without rhodium plating whose surface changes with wear. Oxidation is a workshop treatment that darkens it in advance. In this collection, that treatment is specified on the BRUTALISM V.3 in size M.

Do the carbon ear cuffs have a silver base?
No. The four CARBON cuffs are pure carbon fiber without silver. BLADE and SIGNATURE ASYMMETRIC are available in Classic Graphite and Arctic Graphite; each cuff weighs 0.3 g.

Which STRUGA ear cuff is the heaviest?
The maximum weight in this collection is about 7.5 g: BRUTALISM L in V.1, V.2 and V.3. The silver BLADE L and SIGNATURE ASYMMETRIC L weigh 3.8 g. THORN L weighs 2.6 g, while the carbon models weigh 0.3 g each.

Is the THORN ear cuff family the same as Thorn Amulet?
No. The THORN cuff belongs to the THORN family in the CODEX world. Thorn Amulet is a separate type within the AMULET family in the RITUAL world. They have different forms and places in the catalogue.

What is a SIGNATURE ASYMMETRIC ear cuff?
It is the asymmetric STRUGA link made as a no-piercing ear cuff. The silver L cuff belongs to the CODEX world. The carbon L versions belong to CARBON in the RITUAL world and come in Classic Graphite and Arctic Graphite.

How long does making an ear cuff take?
