Frequently asked questions
Is CODEX a family or a collection?
CODEX is a world — one of the five STRUGA worlds, not a single family. Five families live inside it: SIGNATURE ASYMMETRIC, BLADE, SIGNATURE HEART, THORN and BRUTALISM. Each family carries a recognizable STRUGA form across different types of pieces, from a chain link to a pendant.
Is THORN inside CODEX the same as the Thorn Amulet?
No. THORN is a family within the CODEX world, defined by its sharp angles. The Thorn Amulet is a separate type of piece from the AMULET family, and it lives in the RITUAL world. One word, two different things: a CODEX family on one side, a type of amulet in RITUAL on the other.
Is the silver oxidized?
CODEX pieces are pure 925 sterling silver with no plating. This is Living Silver: it darkens on its own through contact with the world around it. That is a property of the metal, not oxidation — oxidation is a technique that darkens a piece deliberately, from the start, in the workshop. The patina that forms later is the trace of your wearing it.
Are there stones in CODEX?
No. CODEX is contemporary experimental minimalism without stones or settings — pure form in silver, nothing else. Simple yet recognizable silhouettes carry each piece on their own. Stones belong to other STRUGA worlds; CODEX keeps to a clear line and bare 925 — for every day, for the night, for the road.
What does BRUTALISM mean within CODEX?
BRUTALISM is the architectural family of CODEX. Within STRUGA, BRUTALISM rings are the heaviest pieces the brand makes. It speaks the same CODEX language — clear line, bare silver — applied to dense, architectural form rather than to chain links or sharp angles.
