What a Double Thorn is
A single Thorn Amulet repeats the thorn in volume and carries one rough stone. The Double Thorn puts two such bodies on one axis. The bar between them is the post: it goes straight through the lobe, so the earring is read from both sides — one torpedo along the line of the ear in front, the second going back behind it. In profile the whole piece gathers into one straight line.
Each listing is one earring, not a pair. It is worn alone with the second ear left empty, or alongside another STRUGA earring. The earrings available to buy now are gathered in mono earrings.
Why this is an amulet and not a THORN
The word thorn appears in both places, and they are different entities. THORN is a family of the CODEX world: the aesthetic of the sharp angle in plain 925 silver, made to order. The Thorn Amulet is a type inside the AMULET family of the RITUAL world, and it carries a raw wild-growth stone. The rule is simple: if there is an uncut stone in the object, it is an amulet. Everything on this page holds two of them.
The stones, and why no two earrings are alike
The tourmalines are wild-growth crystals, set uncut into the open channels of the torpedoes after the casting. Tourmaline spans several mineral species, so colour is not a choice made from a chart — it is what the crystal grew as. The two stones inside a single earring never match in tone, and no pairing repeats across the four pieces: green with an almost colourless crystal in #1, dark green with a raspberry-tipped green in #2, dark green with brown-olive in #3, raspberry-pink with pale olive in #4.
That is the whole reason each earring exists in one copy. The form can be cast again; this pattern of stones cannot.
The four pieces, side by side
The table is built from the catalogue: weight from the piece record, price as it stood while the earring was available.
Read the table down the weight column. The (S) is 2.3 grams — two short torpedoes that barely pull on the lobe. The (L) is 7.0 grams, three times heavier: a substantial object the ear registers without being dragged by it. Within the large format #2, #3 and #4 match in weight and price, so the choice between them was always a choice of surface and of stones.
Two different surfaces, two different care routines
This matters more here than on most pages, because the wrong cleaning destroys one of the two surfaces.
#1, #2 and #4 are blackened. The silver was darkened deliberately at the bench, so the object was dark from its first day: the recesses hold the black, the raised ribs lighten with friction, and the contrast deepens with wear. Care is warm water, mild soap, a soft brush in the relief, dried thoroughly. #3 is Living Silver. Nothing was darkened; the 925 silver is left bare to age on its own from air and skin, going dark in the recesses while friction keeps the raised edges bright. All four are sold — what happens now
An amulet at STRUGA exists in exactly one copy, which is why a card is sold once and then lives on as archive. There is no production lead time to quote for the pieces on this page: they are not made to order, they were made, photographed, sold, and the stones that were in them do not exist twice.
What remains open is Request a similar piece: the same form, the same size and the same finish, with its own crystals and its own tone. An exact copy is not offered, and the term is confirmed by a person at STRUGA rather than promised by a page.
