About STRUGA. STRUGA is a dark silver jewelry brand founded by Dmitry Strugovshchikov and Ekaterina Strugovshchikova, handcrafted in our Bali workshop by master silversmiths. Every piece is 925 sterling silver. This earring carries the Living Silver finish: bare silver with no rhodium plating, which darkens on its own from air and skin. The darkening is part of the design. It is a brutalist object that reacts and changes through contact with the environment and the wearer.
How it is made, and how it is worn
The form is modelled first — in 3D or by hand in wax. A silicone mould is taken from the model, silver is cast into it, and a silversmith finishes the piece by hand. The stone comes last: it is seated in the open cut, so the silver closes around the shape the crystal already had.
The earring is worn singly, in one ear — a mono format. Five grams sit on the lobe: the weight is present, but there is nothing in it to drag the ear down. Around it sit the other objects of the AMULET family, each built around its own raw stone.

Thorn and Classic are the two flagship models of the AMULET family. Thorn states itself; Classic keeps the same raw stone inside a restrained cylinder. That is the real choice between them, not the price.
Who it is for, and when it is worn
Size M is the step most people arrive at: the split of the torpedo is fully readable at arm's length, and five grams stay comfortable through a working day. It is worn in one ear, alone. Against a row of studs on the other side it becomes the anchor of the pair.
The aquamarine here is uncut and grew wild, so the blue is uneven — pale in one plane, denser in the next. It is chosen for that, not despite it. An amulet is an object that carries personal meaning for the one who wears it; STRUGA promises no effect from the stone.
Where it does not work: sleeping in it. The sharp planes press into the ear under a pillow, and the earring is better left on the table at night.
