How much does the necklace weigh and how long is the chain?
The pin is 7 grams of 925 sterling silver, on a 75 cm chain. It has presence, yet sits light on the chain. The length is set so the object rests on the chest.
What is the shape of the pin?
The top of the pin is half of the Mini Link, the form the entire BLADE family is built on. Below it runs a smooth silver shaft. This is the smallest standalone object in BLADE; nothing in the family is smaller.
What is the BLADE family?
BLADE is the second form of STRUGA, from the CODEX world: a CNC aesthetic in silver, flat planes and clean edges, the look of a shape milled from sheet metal. The same form lives across the BLADE bracelets, chains, chokers, earring and ear cuff.
Why does the silver darken, and how do I care for it?
The surface is Living Silver — 925 sterling silver with no rhodium plating. The object arrives light and darkens with air and skin: the recesses of the relief go dark, while friction lifts the raised edges back to light. The patina is a property, not a defect. To bring the metal back toward the light, care for it with a soft cloth or a silver-cleaning solution. Avoid harsh chemicals and ultrasonic baths.
