How much does the Thorn Amulet earring cost?
This earring costs Rp 3,300,000 (about $185). The same form is Rp 2,850,000 (about $160) in size S and Rp 3,920,000 (about $220) in size L; the Thorn Amulet necklace is Rp 4,460,000 (about $250). Checkout charges the rupiah amount shown on this page.
How much does the earring weigh, and what size is it?
The earring is 4.9 grams of 925 sterling silver, size M. It is the scale the AMULET family was built around: present in the ear, light enough to wear all day.
The page says sold — can I still order this earring?
The exact earring is gone and the stone cannot be repeated: it grew wild, and no two crystals share a tone and a pattern. What we make is a close repeat — same form, same size, same finish, with its own stone — in about two weeks. The button on this page orders that repeat.
What is the difference between this earring and the blackened grey one?
The stone, the size and the price are the same: grey tourmaline, size M, Rp 3,300,000 (about $185). The surface differs. This one is bare 925 silver that starts light and darkens on its own; #20 and #21 are blackened at the bench and are dark from the first day. The blackened pieces also weigh 5.4 grams against 4.9 here.
Is this a pair of earrings or a single one?
This is a mono earring — a single object, not a pair. It is worn on its own, in one ear.
What is the stone, and why does the earring exist as a single piece?
The stone is wild-grown grey tourmaline, left uncut, sitting in the torpedo's diagonal cut with no setting. Every stone of this kind is unique in tone and pattern, so the earring exists as a single piece.
Why does the silver darken, and how do I care for it?
The surface is Living Silver — 925 sterling silver without rhodium plating. The earring arrives light and darkens from air and skin: the recesses of the relief deepen, while friction lightens the raised edges. The patina is a property, not a defect. You can bring the metal back to the light with care: a soft cloth or a silver-cleaning solution. Work around the stone, and avoid harsh chemicals and ultrasonic baths.
What is a Thorn Amulet?
Thorn Amulet is a type within the AMULET family of the RITUAL world. It carries the THORN form into volume: a silver torpedo with a diagonal cut, holding an untreated, wild-grown stone inside. The form is an homage to Daniel Arsham. Handmade in Bali, Indonesia.
