Is this a pair of earrings or a single one?
This is a single mono-earring, for one ear. The Thorn Amulet is worn solo, as one accent. The earring is 3.5 grams of 925 sterling silver, size S.
How much does the Thorn Amulet #22 cost, and can I still order one?
Rp 2,850,000 (about $160) — the amount the checkout charges. This exact earring is sold and cannot be repeated: the stone is one of a kind. Press «Buy a similar one» and the workshop makes a close piece in the same size, form and finish, with its own stone. It takes about two weeks.
Why is this earring dark, and is it the same thing as Living Silver?
No, and the difference is the whole point. The surface is oxidized: the 925 silver was darkened at the bench during finishing, so it arrives dark instead of growing dark on the wearer. Living Silver is the other surface in the catalogue: bare silver with no rhodium, darkening by itself over months. Earring #8 carries the same green tourmaline at the same size in Living Silver, so the two pieces are the clearest way to see what the choice does.
How do I care for oxidized silver so the dark surface stays?
Wipe the earring with a soft dry cloth after wearing, to take off sweat and skin oil. If it gets genuinely dirty: warm water, a drop of neutral soap, a soft brush along the relief, then rinse and blot dry. No silver dip, polishing paste, baking soda or ultrasonic bath — each strips the darkened layer, and the only way back is re-oxidation at the bench.
What is the stone inside, and can I choose a different one?
Inside sits an uncut, wild-growth green tourmaline with no faceting and no setting. It is translucent, striated along its length, reads bright grass-green against the dark metal, and its tip stands clear of the cut edge. The piece is made one at a time: only this stone is in it, and it cannot be swapped. A made-to-order piece gets its own stone, chosen from what the workshop has.
What is a Thorn Amulet?
The Thorn Amulet is a type within the AMULET family, voiced through the RITUAL world. Its form is a torpedo cut in half, as if found in the ground thousands of years later, with a crystal grown inside — an homage to Daniel Arsham. A diagonal cut runs through the body, and the uncut stone sits within it.
Does the stone mean anything or have an effect?
STRUGA describes the stone as material, geology and form — not as a source of power. An amulet is an object and what it means to its owner, with no promise of any effect.
