AMULET — STRUGA earrings and necklaces built around raw, wild-growth stones. The amulets of this family differ widely — from quiet and classic, a Japanese reading of minimalism, to large and declarative. The most expressive is the THORN amulet: a halved-torpedo form with a crystal grown inside; an homage to Daniel Arsham.

An uncut green tourmaline held inside the small Thorn Amulet — the only green stone of the model darkened at the bench and cast at size S. 925 sterling silver, 3.5 grams, Rp 2,850,000 (about $160).
The cone is cast in 925 sterling silver at the small size, then darkened at the bench by controlled oxidation. It arrives dark and stays dark: matte, close to graphite, light caught only on the barbs and the rim. A diagonal opening runs the length of the body, and the crystal sits in it with the tip standing clear of the cut edge. Four short barbs stand around the body, two to a side, with the brand mark struck along it. The clasp is a separate barbed link in the THORN silhouette — it passes through the lobe and carries the cone on a jump ring. Handmade in Bali by master silversmiths, one piece at a time.
The stone is a wild-growth green tourmaline, uncut and unset, striated along its length. Against the darkened metal it reads bright grass-green and translucent — light passes through it rather than off it, and it is the only colour in the object. Four green tourmalines exist across the model, two of them oxidized. Earring #8 holds the same green stone at the same size in bright Living Silver, at 3.9 grams; Earring #19 repeats the darkened body one size up.
Made this way: the form is modelled in 3D or in wax, a silicone mould is taken from it, and the silver is cast. The master finishes the cone by hand, darkens the surface, then picks the stone and seats it — chosen for this body alone.
