A 925 silver earring, 4.68 grams, unisex. A small hoop with a click closure carries a movable SIGNATURE ASYMMETRIC link: a flat frame that narrows downward, with one crossbar inside and two cut-through openings. A mono earring — one object, not a pair. $127, made to order in about two weeks.
Material: 925 sterling silver, no rhodium plating, no stone.
Family and world: SIGNATURE ASYMMETRIC, from the CODEX world — the first form of the brand.
Construction: two parts — a hoop and a link; the link hangs on the hoop through a loop at its top and swings freely.
Closure: the hoop snaps shut with a click; STRUGA and the silver mark are stamped on the wire. A pierced lobe is required.
Weight and price: 4.68 g and $127 for a single earring; made to order in about two weeks.
Finish: Living Silver — unplated silver darkens with air and skin; patina is a property, not a defect.
Care: a soft cloth or a silver-cleaning solution; no harsh chemicals, no ultrasonic baths.
SIGNATURE ASYMMETRIC is the first form of the brand and the language of the CODEX world. STRUGA began with it — and so did the project's central experiment: take one form and carry it across different types of pieces, from a pendant to a chain link, a toggle clasp and a carabiner. The aesthetic came from CNC-cut sheet material: sharp edges, even planes, recessed depth. Today it is the most widely represented form in the brand.
Here the form is taken as an outline. The link is a flat, irregular four-sided frame: one side runs straight, the opposite one is cut at an angle, and the frame narrows toward the bottom. A single crossbar divides the opening into two cut-through gaps of different size. The edges are even, the corners sharp, the surface polished — the metal catches light along the ribs while the openings read as shadow.
The earring is built from two parts. The first is a small hoop, smooth and round in section; it closes with a click, and STRUGA is stamped on the wire alongside the silver mark. The second is the link: it hangs on the hoop through a loop at its top and is not fixed in place, so it swings as you move and turns from plane to edge. A single earring weighs 4.68 grams — present, but it does not pull on the lobe.
925 silver is 92.5% pure silver. The finish is Living Silver, with no plating. The metal darkens with air and skin: shadow gathers in the openings, in the corners of the frame and around the closure, while friction lifts the raised edges and the hoop back toward the light. Patina is a property, not a defect; the metal can be brought back to light with care.
How it is made: the form is modelled first — in 3D or by hand in wax. A silicone mould is taken from the model and the silver is cast. The finished earring is worked and polished by hand.
About STRUGA. STRUGA is a dark silver jewelry brand founded by Dmitry Strugovshchikov and Ekaterina Strugovshchikova, handmade in Bali by master silversmiths. Every piece is 925 sterling silver. This earring is Living Silver — unplated silver that darkens on its own. The darkening is part of the design: a brutalist object that reacts and changes through contact with the environment and the wearer.
Which SIGNATURE ASYMMETRIC object to wear on the ear
Five objects in the family are worn on the ear and carry the same asymmetric form. They differ in how they attach, in weight and in price; prices are live from the store.

The two earrings need a pierced lobe and hang from a hoop; the three cuffs slide onto the edge of the ear and hold by their own curve. All five are unplated 925 silver that darkens over time.
Who it is for, and when
This earring is for a pierced lobe and for wearing one object instead of a pair. The link hangs loose and turns as you move, so the earring works in profile — it is seen from the side people look at you from. At 4.68 grams the weight is felt without pulling: for everyday wear that is a calm upper limit.
It also builds the ear into a line. The earring sits in the lobe, a cuff from the same family sits higher on the edge: one form, so the two objects read as a single drawing rather than a random set. If you want an object without a piercing, take the cuff; if you want a mechanism that opens and snaps shut, take the carabiner earring from the same family.
As a gift it lands with people who wear silver every day and choose form over decoration: $127, made to order in about two weeks, delivered in STRUGA packaging. What it will not give you is silver that stays bright on its own. This earring darkens, and the openings of the frame go into shadow first.
