How the ring is built
The cross here is not an ornament but the structure of the ring. A wide cast band widens towards the top and closes into a round frame; inside that circle four rods run from the centre out to the rim. The rods are uneven in thickness, with soft flows of metal along them, and the four gaps between them stay open — the skin shows through the ring. There is no seam between band and cross: the piece is cast whole. A wax model, a silicone mould, 925 silver, hand finishing; the surface is left light and polished, with no pre-blackening.

Who it is for, and when
The ring is made for everyday wear: the frame is rounded along its edge and the gaps between the arms do not catch on fabric. At 16 mm it is 3.7 g — you feel the weight on the finger, but it never drags the hand down; closer to 22 mm the band grows heavier and the ring reads as a large object. Diameters from 16 to 22 mm cover both a woman's and a man's hand, so the piece is unisex. The light surface darkens over time in the recesses between the rods, and the drawing of the cross becomes more legible for it.
