How much does the Thorn Amulet earring #19 cost?
The earring costs Rp 3,300,000 (about $185). That is the price for the piece as described: 5.4 grams of 925 sterling silver, size M, with a natural green tourmaline. Shipping is charged at carrier rates, with one exchange within 14 days.
The page says sold — can I still order this earring?
This exact piece is sold. The stone is raw and no two repeat, so the exact piece cannot be remade. We make one close in look, size and finish, with its own pattern and tone — about two weeks.
How much does the earring weigh, and how does it sit in the ear?
The Thorn Amulet earring is 5.4 grams of 925 sterling silver, size M. It is a mono-earring, worn in one ear. You feel its weight, but it does not pull on the lobe.
Is this a pair or a single earring?
This is a single earring — one declarative object for one ear. Each Thorn Amulet is made one at a time: the stone, its colour and its character never repeat, so the earring comes on its own.
Is the tourmaline real, and how is it set?
The stone is a natural green tourmaline, wild-grown and uncut. It rests inside the silver torpedo with no facets and no setting, held by its own natural form.
What is the difference between this earring and the Living Silver #6?
Both are size M, 5.4 grams, green tourmaline, Rp 3,300,000 (about $185). On #19 the silver is oxidized at the bench and reads dark from the first day. On #6 the silver is uncoated Living Silver: it arrives bright and darkens later, on the hand. The stone and the form are the same — the surface is the choice.
Does the black wear off, and how do I care for it?
It lightens unevenly, and that is the point of it. Oxidation is the surface of the silver itself, not a coating, so there is no layer to peel: friction brightens the raised planes while the recesses stay dark. Do not use a dip, a polishing cloth or an ultrasonic bath — all three strip the dark layer the drawing lives on. Wash in warm water with a drop of mild soap and a soft brush, dry it properly, and take it off before a shower or a pool. The finish can be taken back to depth at the bench at any point.
What is a Thorn Amulet, and what is the AMULET family?
AMULET is a STRUGA family from the RITUAL world: earrings and necklaces with raw, wild-grown stones. The Thorn Amulet is its most expressive type — a torpedo form cut in half, with a crystal grown inside. It is an homage to Daniel Arsham.
