Hard Jewelry Review: Silver, Steel and Returns

A snake closes the circle of OUROBOROS. STRUGA's THORN ring uses a different construction: an asymmetric half-link shape with sharp planes. Comparing these objects starts with material, fit and silhouette. Appearing in a search for a Chrome Hearts alternative does not establish their quality.

STRUGA publishes this review and makes its own jewelry. Our objects appear in the comparison, so this is not an independent retailer ranking. Read the 925 silver Atlas for material, or explore the CODEX world and the THORN family for forms.

One OUROBOROS ring, two material choices

The official OUROBOROS RING page presents STAINLESS STEEL and .925 STERLING SILVER as separate material options on the review date. Size is another option. A photograph or model name therefore cannot answer the general question “Is Hard Jewelry silver?” The answer depends on the selected material and size.

This distinction matters when reading a price. An active steel variant can appear first on a page that also offers silver. After switching material, read the selected options and cart again. The existence of a silver option for OUROBOROS does not establish the material of every item in the Hard Jewelry catalogue.

Weight needs a material reference

Fit remains a question, rather than a result of this review. We can describe a visible contour, but cannot report a fitting we did not perform. We also give no wear, strength or comfort score for OUROBOROS.

What .925 means, and what it does not prove

The US Jewelry Guides, §23.5(b)(2) connect the sterling silver designation with at least 925 parts silver per thousand: 92.5%. This defines the term. It is not an assay result for an individual Hard Jewelry ring.

Keep alloy, coating and surface finish as separate fields when comparing products. Look for each in the selected variant's description. A missing coating statement does not prove that the object has no coating. Ask the seller about the precise model and material if that detail affects your choice.

The STRUGA objects in the table below are specified as uncoated 925 silver. We call this Living Silver: the surface remains silver, with no rhodium layer concealing its changes. Our material and care page explains that approach. It describes our objects, rather than predicting how another maker's jewelry will age.

Returns: four official pages give different windows

The Hard Jewelry pages checked on 10 October 2026 do not give one consistent cash refund window. The table keeps the published statements separate. A refund and an exchange should not become a single promise of “14-day returns.”

Resolve the discrepancy for your order

This is a discrepancy between published policies, not evidence that a customer's return was refused. Before paying, ask support to confirm the window, starting point, contact process and return shipping for your order in writing. Keep that answer with the selected variant and order confirmation.

The product page and shipping policy also describe exclusions for altered or damaged pieces and a warranty for manufacturing defects. A defect warranty does not replace a refund option when a ring simply does not suit you. Resolve the return question before requesting an engraving or another alteration.

How to read Hard Jewelry reviews

External reviews and discussions are useful when they describe an event: what was ordered, when it arrived, what problem was raised and how support resolved it. “Good quality” alone does not identify a material, length of wear or method of checking it.

This review provides no average score or personal rating for Hard Jewelry. We do not combine reviews from different platforms: their collection rules, dates and customer groups do not produce one measured rating by addition. A photograph of packaging can show packaging; it does not establish the alloy inside it.

Separate delivery experience, response to the form and a material complaint. Successful delivery does not answer a silver question, while a sizing dispute does not establish a bad alloy. Look for the stated outcome and date, then compare it with the seller's current policy.

Hard Jewelry, Chrome Hearts and STRUGA: compare objects

Hard Jewelry and Chrome Hearts are separate companies. “Hard Jewelry vs Chrome Hearts” can mean a comparison of budget, metal or visual language. Without two specific products, those questions remain mixed together. The official Chrome Hearts site is a starting point for checking a chosen object; this review has no verified pair from its current assortment.

The table therefore does not rank brands or promise an equivalent replacement. It shows the fields that can already be compared. STRUGA weights come from current size variants. The same size number at two sellers does not establish the same fit.

THORN and BRUTALISM create different proportions on the hand: an asymmetric faceted line and a wide stepped mass. Weight changes with size. Comparing one ring's minimum weight with another's maximum does not establish quality. For fit, start with your finger measurement and the width of the chosen form.

The chain and bracelet are different object types, rather than ring alternatives. To build a group of pieces, choose a shared rhythm first: angular THORN links or the open BLADE pattern. Then check length, clasp and included components for each object individually.

Silver from Bali: origin is a separate field

For the international market, STRUGA objects are made in Bali. The four STRUGA objects compared here are made to order and ship worldwide from the island. That origin belongs to the STRUGA side of this comparison; it says nothing about Hard Jewelry's manufacturing location.

“Bali silver” names an origin or style in a search query; it is not, by itself, a silver fineness specification. For our four objects, the material statement is 925 silver. When comparing jewelry from the island with OUROBOROS, keep origin and alloy in different columns and confirm the exact variant. The silver Atlas explains the material independently of the motif.

Before paying: five concrete decisions

1. Select the exact OUROBOROS material: steel or .925. Keep a record of the active variant.
2. Use Hard Jewelry's sizing guide. Do not transfer a STRUGA size number without checking the measurement.
3. Check the complete cart for your delivery country. The product page and shipping policy also give different free shipping thresholds.
4. Get written clarification of the refund window; the pages state different periods.
5. For a STRUGA comparison, choose a ring and size, then read its current product page and our shipping and return terms.

Those decisions make the comparison specific. You know the metal and size, the order total and the period for contacting the seller. The remaining choice is a form: the closed OUROBOROS motif, THORN's faceted planes or BRUTALISM's steps. It is an object choice, rather than a claim of brand superiority.
