How much does the earring weigh, and how is it worn?
The earring is 6.5 g of 925 sterling silver (92.5% pure silver). It is a single earring — worn alone, in one ear, as a standalone object, without a pair. The frame is size L, the longest in the model.
Can I still buy this earring, and what does it cost?
This exact piece is sold and will not return: the stone was one crystal, and it is set. It was priced at $220, charged as Rp 3,920,000. A similar earring in the same L frame can be made through Custom Order, with a stone chosen for it.
What is a THORN Amulet, and what sets it apart?
The Thorn Amulet is the most expressive type within the AMULET family, from the world of RITUAL. Its form reads like a torpedo cut in half — as if unearthed after thousands of years, with a crystal grown inside. It is an homage to Daniel Arsham. The THORN family itself belongs to the CODEX world and carries no stones; the Thorn Amulet only borrows its silhouette.
How does the L frame differ from S and M?
Length, weight, and how much crystal the frame lets you see. S weighs 3.5–3.9 g and sits close to the lobe; M weighs 4.9–5.4 g and is the base proportion of the model; L weighs 5.9–6.5 g, hangs the length of the lobe and shows the most stone. L is also the rarest of the three: three earrings against six in S and nine in M, and every one of them was made in bare silver, never blackened.
Is the aquamarine real, and why is each earring made one at a time?
Set inside is a raw, wild-grown aquamarine — uncut, in its natural form, a slim translucent column with the lines of its own growth along it. Each stone is chosen by hand for its specific piece, so every earring is singular: the colour and character of the stone never repeat. This is the fourth earring in the Thorn Amulet series and the largest of the ones set with aquamarine.
Why does the silver darken, and how do I care for it?
The surface is Living Silver — 925 sterling silver without rhodium plating. The earring arrives light and darkens with air and skin: recessed areas of the relief deepen, while friction lightens the raised edges. On the L frame that contrast reads strongly, because the planes are long. The patina is a property, not a defect. To bring the metal back toward the light, care for it with a soft cloth or a silver-cleaning solution. Avoid harsh chemicals and ultrasonic baths, especially near the stone.
