A carabiner earring in 925 sterling silver, 3.5 grams, in two parts: a hinged hoop that goes through the lobe and an angular carabiner clipped onto it. The spring gate works — the carabiner can be taken off the hoop. Size small, SIGNATURE ASYMMETRIC family. $220, made to order in about two weeks.
Material: 925 sterling silver, no rhodium plating. Handmade in Bali by master silversmiths.

STRUGA carabiners are numbered by the order of release. #1 was first, then #2, then #3 — designed but not released yet — and then #4. Each new carabiner takes the next ordinal number when it enters production. Sizes are marked separately: small and big are out. This is the small-size #4, worn as a mono earring — one, without a pair. It is assembled from two parts: the hoop holds the ear, the carabiner hangs from the hoop and clips on through its own working gate.
SIGNATURE ASYMMETRIC is the first form of the brand, from the CODEX world. The aesthetic came from CNC-cut sheet material: sharp edges, even planes, recessed depth. STRUGA carries one form across different types of pieces — from a pendant to a chain link to a carabiner. Carabiners #1, #2 Small, #2 Big and #4 all carry this form.
How it is made: the form is modelled first, in 3D or by hand in wax. A silicone mould is taken from the model, and the silver is cast into it. The spring clasp is assembled, and a master finishes the earring by hand.
