THE STORY OF THIS PIECE
The second form of the brand — a CNC aesthetic in silver. BLADE began with a chain link: even planes, as if cut from sheet material. From links like these grew the brand’s first massive bracelet; the BLADE form lives in bracelets, chains, chokers, a pin, an earring and an ear cuff.

BLADE is the second form of STRUGA, a CNC aesthetic in silver: even planes and clean edges, as if cut from sheet material. This object takes one element from the family. The lower end of the pin is a faceted brace — half of the Mini Link the whole of BLADE is built on. From that brace a smooth shaft runs up to the chain and closes back into it. Nothing in BLADE is smaller.
925 sterling silver is 92.5% pure silver. At 7 grams the pin has presence, yet sits light on the chain. The surface is Living Silver, with no plating. Silver darkens with air and skin: the recesses of the relief go dark, while friction lifts the raised edges back to light. The patina is a property, not a defect; care brings the metal back toward the light.
How it is made: the form is modelled first — in 3D or by hand in wax. A silicone mould is taken from the wax model and the silver is cast. The finished pin is worked by hand by a silversmith.

Who it is for and when to wear it
The pin suits anyone who wants BLADE on the neck without the mass. Seven grams on a 75 cm chain hang low on the chest and stay in view with an open collar. Worn alone it is the most compact BLADE on the chest; worn as a second tier under a shorter chain, the thin shaft does not tangle with a heavy link. Unisex: the same object works on a man's neck and on a woman's. As a first object of the brand it explains the family at the lowest weight in it — the same form, while the choker of that family starts at 80 grams.
