How much does the cuff weigh and how does it sit on the ear?
The cuff is 1.6 grams of 925 sterling silver, size M. You barely feel it on the ear. It holds with a clip on the rim of the ear, so no piercing is needed — you can put the cuff on and take it off at any moment.
How is V.3 different from the other BRUTALISM versions?
Each BRUTALISM version has its own geometry. V.3 is not a development of V.1 or V.2 — it is a separate form within the same architectural code. This cuff is made in the Dark Treatment variant: the blackening is applied by hand over the silver.
What is the BRUTALISM family?
BRUTALISM is the fourth form of STRUGA, an architecture in silver. It is a study of the aesthetics of Soviet brutalism under the influence of suprematism. Today the family is rings and ear cuffs; it is young, and the range will keep growing.
Why is the silver dark, and how do I care for it?
The surface is Living Silver — 925 silver without rhodium plating, with a dark treatment applied by hand. From there the metal lives on its own: the recesses of the relief darken, friction lightens the raised edges. Darkening is a property, not a defect. You can bring the metal back to the light with care: a soft cloth or a silver-cleaning solution. Do not use harsh chemicals or ultrasonic baths.
Do I need a piercing, and can I wear the cuff every day?
No piercing is needed. The cuff holds with a clip on the rim of the ear and is suited to everyday wear. Wear it on its own as an accent on one ear, or paired with other STRUGA cuffs and earrings.
