925 sterling silver with deliberately unfinished surfaces and visible tool marks. The original BRUTALISM ring by STRUGA — the first version of a growing series, born from a collaboration with an architect.
Brutalism V.1 is our reading of the signet. A classic signet carries a smooth plate for a seal; here that plate becomes an architectural zone of stepped, multi-level lines — relief instead of a flat field. That is the interpretation: mass, a load-bearing top zone, real weight on the hand — what people come to a signet for, read through the brand’s design code. As other signet forms arrive, they stand beside it, in one collection.
Every irregularity, every angle is a decision, not a defect. V.1 is the starting point of the BRUTALISM family: a ring that looks as if it had been chiselled out of a single block of metal rather than cast in a mould. The series is built around a shared love of Soviet brutalist architecture and grows version by version (V.1 in raw Living Silver, V.3 in Dark Treatment, more to come) — each one a different geometry inside the same design code. Living Silver finish — silver without rhodium plating, the surface lives and changes with time.

About STRUGA. STRUGA is a dark silver jewelry brand founded by Dmitry Strugovshchikov and Ekaterina Strugovshchikova, handcrafted in our Bali workshop by master silversmiths. For basic care: wipe with a dry cloth after wear, keep it away from chlorine and harsh chemicals. If you want to pull back patina in the recesses, a soft toothbrush with mild soap works. Don't polish the whole surface — you'll erase the history.
Can I order V.1 in a custom size or with Dark Treatment?
Yes. V.1 can be ordered in a non-standard size; Dark Treatment or engraving is handled as a Custom Order. Share the request with STRUGA before checkout. Custom work is generally framed at approximately three to six weeks, but the STRUGA team confirms the exact production date for the approved design. Custom Order, engraving, and non-standard sizes are final sale, without limiting rights for defects or fulfilment errors.

V.1 came from a conversation with an architect about Soviet brutalist buildings — the honesty of raw concrete, visible formwork, no cosmetic layer. I translated that into metal: deliberate tool marks, sharp angles, no polishing to hide the making. It's the first ring in the Brutalism family, the design code other versions grow from. Like Blade, Thorn, Heart or the Signature Asymmetric line, it's built to be worn as part of the body, not stored in a box.
