How much does the Classic Amulet #17 earring cost, and how long does it take to make?
One earring costs $185 (Rp 3,300,000). The crystal photographed here has been sold. A repeat is made to order in about two weeks: the same hoop, the same faceted cap and size, with an aquamarine of its own. The price of the repeat is the same.
How does the earring fasten, and do I need a piercing?
It is a hinged hoop for the lobe: the hoop opens on its hinge and snaps shut on itself. One ordinary lobe piercing is enough. The silver cap holding the crystal hangs from the hoop on a round jump ring, so it turns freely and always finds its own vertical.
Is this a pair or a single earring?
This is one mono earring for a single ear. At STRUGA it is conceived as an object in its own right, not half of a pair: one amulet earring in one ear is a finished statement. A second one can be ordered separately by those who wear two.
How much does the earring weigh, and how does it sit in the ear?
The earring is 5.4 grams of 925 sterling silver with an aquamarine crystal. The cap and the stone hang below the lobe and swing when the head turns. The weight is present, but it does not pull on the lobe.
What is the stone in the earring, and are they all the same?
The stone is a raw aquamarine, grown in its natural form and never cut. Aquamarine belongs to the beryl family, and iron gives it its blue. This one is pale blue-green and translucent, with the veils and fractures of natural growth inside it. Each crystal is unique in colour and shape, so no second one is exactly like it.
Why does the silver darken, and how do I care for it?
The surface is 925 sterling silver without rhodium plating, so it darkens on its own from air and skin. There is no relief on this earring to catch the patina: the cap is polished, and the darkening settles first in the seams of the frame and where silver meets stone, while the open faces stay bright from wear. The patina is a property, not a defect. A soft cloth or a silver-cleaning solution returns the light. Avoid harsh chemicals and ultrasonic baths — the stone is uncut.
How is this earring different from the other Classic Amulet earrings?
The cap. On most of the series the crystal sits in a smooth silver cylinder with a slanted cut; here the cylinder is replaced by flat faces and sharp bevels in BRUTALISM geometry. That is also where the weight comes from: 5.4 grams against 3.9 for the other medium earrings. It is the only earring in the BRUTALISM collection.
What is the AMULET family and the Classic type?
AMULET is a STRUGA family from the RITUAL world: earrings and necklaces built around raw, wild-grown stones. The Classic type is a calm, precise reading of minimalism around the stone — a hoop, a jump ring, a silver cap, and the crystal hanging below it.
