What a pin earring is
It is a safety pin, made in 925 silver and worn through the lobe. The point goes in from the front, the shaft passes through the piercing, and the point drops into the catch at the far end — the same mechanism as the pin on a coat, at the scale of an ear. The earring is closed by its own form rather than by a butterfly back or a screw.
That is the difference from a threader, which is a chain or a bar pulled through the lobe and left hanging on both sides. Nothing here hangs through. The pin is a closed loop once fastened, and the object it carries sits below the ear on the lower bow.
Where the form comes from
The Blade Pin is the quietest element of BLADE — the second form of the brand, a CNC aesthetic in silver: even planes, as if the piece were cut from sheet material. BLADE began with a chain link, and the pin is topped by half of a Mini Link, the same half-link that builds the brand's chains and bracelets. The pin is identical in all four earrings below.
Three of the four come from EXPERIMENTAL, the zone inside the LAB world where the brand takes ordinary things — pins, mushrooms, pills, hares — and rethinks them in silver. The fourth, Solid Heart, brings in the SIGNATURE HEART family from the CODEX world, which is why it reads as jewellery where the others read as objects.

Classic Pin is the odd one structurally: the pin does not go through the lobe there. A hinged huggie hoop takes the piercing, and the pin hangs from it on a jump ring — one piercing, two elements, 3.1 grams together. Pills is 3.7 grams, Solid Heart 4.7. BearRabbit is the largest figure of the series.
How it sits and how it closes
The pin needs a straight piercing channel and slightly more room than a stud post: it is a shaft, and it does not bend to fit. If your piercing was made at an angle, the pin will tell you on the first try.
Once the point is in the catch the earring is locked, which is why these are worn daily rather than for an occasion. Weight hangs at the bow rather than sitting flat on the lobe, so a few grams are felt more here than in a stud of the same mass — the pendant swings when you turn your head, and that movement is the point of the series.

Each listing is one earring, not a pair. Buy two of the same for a matched pair, or one to stand against something different in the other ear — most of what STRUGA makes for the ear assumes the second.
Silver that ages
925 sterling silver without rhodium plating — Living Silver, not blackened at the bench. The metal arrives light and darkens with air and skin: recesses go dark, raised planes lighten where they rub. On a pin that means the shaft polishes bright where it passes through the lobe while the head keeps its shadow. A soft cloth or a silver-cleaning solution brings the light back whenever you want it; avoid harsh chemicals and ultrasonic baths.
Made to order, shipped worldwide
STRUGA does not keep these in stock: each pin is cast for the order and finished by hand in the Bali workshop, which takes about two weeks. From there the parcel ships worldwide. A non-standard version — another pendant on the same pin, another length — is handled as a Custom Order.
