Frequently asked questions
How much does the pendant weigh, and what cord does it come on?
The pendant weighs 8 grams: a carbon plate plus a cast 925 silver bail. Carbon is light, so on the neck the weight is almost imperceptible. It comes on a 75 cm suede cord.
What is the pendant made of — silver or carbon?
The body of the pendant is multilayer matte carbon in Classic Graphite, the brand's original palette. The bail that holds the pendant on the cord is cast 925 silver. Two materials in one object.
Does the carbon darken over time, the way silver does?
No. Carbon does not change over time and is not bothered by water — the plate stays exactly as it arrived. Only the silver bail darkens: it is Living Silver, uncoated, and it patinates from air and skin. These are two materials behaving differently, and it is meant to be that way.
Why does the silver bail darken, and how do I care for it?
The bail is Living Silver — 925 silver with no rhodium plating. It arrives light and darkens from air and skin: the recesses of the relief deepen, while friction lightens the raised edges. The patina is a property, not a defect. You can bring the metal back to the light with care: a soft cloth, or a silver-cleaning solution. Avoid harsh chemicals and ultrasonic baths.
What is the CARBON family?
CARBON is a STRUGA family from the RITUAL world, and the material the brand began with. Multilayer matte carbon: light, water-resistant, unchanging over time — a counterweight to living silver. The carbon is cut on a CNC machine from sheet stock; the brand keeps its own line of in-house palettes, and Classic Graphite is the original among them.
