Frequently asked questions
How much does the earring weigh, and how does it sit in the ear?
The Small Wired Heart is 2.9 grams of 925 sterling silver per ear. It is the lightest reading of the brand's heart: the weight is barely felt, and the earring is made to be worn every day.
Is this a single earring or a pair?
It is a mono object: the price is for one earring. Wear it in a single ear as a standalone accent, or collect a second to form a pair — the choice is yours.
Is the heart really made from wire?
No. The heart is drawn as a wire-like line — this is the aesthetic of SIGNATURE HEART, the lightest reading of the form. The piece itself is cast in 925 sterling silver: the form is modelled, cast, and finished by hand.
Why does the silver darken, and how do I care for it?
The surface is Living Silver — 925 sterling silver without rhodium plating. The earring arrives light and darkens with air and skin: the recesses of the relief deepen, while friction lightens the raised edges. On a thin line the darkening reads more softly than on broad surfaces. The patina is a property, not a defect. You can bring the metal back to the light with care: a soft cloth or a silver-cleaning solution. Avoid harsh chemicals and ultrasonic baths.
What is the SIGNATURE HEART family?
SIGNATURE HEART is STRUGA's fifth form, from the CODEX world — the brand's own heart: half smooth, half angular, two different hearts brought into one. The family holds several readings of this form, from a light heart drawn as a wire-like line to the dense Solid Heart and the tiny stud.
