THE STORY OF THIS PIECE
STRUGA began with CARBON. Multi-layered matte carbon: ultralight, unafraid of water, unchanged by time — the counterweight to living silver. The brand has its own line of signature carbon: six Graphite palettes, a CNC aesthetic, cut from sheet material. CARBON was almost never purely carbon — alongside it, with other materials set in, the MOSAIC family was born.

Aged is STRUGA's warmest carbon treatment: aged copper layers embedded into a dark graphite core, patinated until the whole piece reads as weathered. Not a Graphite palette — a separate origin story. Big Line is the longest pendant in the collection: a single long vertical form, CNC-cut from multi-layered matte carbon fiber, with aged copper fully inlaid into the surface, threaded onto a 75 cm suede cord. Big Line Aged is for people who wear one object at a time and want it read from across the room: 17 grams and the longest vertical form in the STRUGA carbon line, sitting flat on the chest over a t-shirt or under an open shirt. How heavy is Big Line Aged on the wrist of the chest? Will it feel like too much?
17 grams. It's the longest pendant in the STRUGA line, but the weight stays low because carbon fiber is light by nature. You feel the length more than the mass — a single long vertical form sitting flat against the chest. Most people forget they're wearing it within an hour. If you've worn metal pendants before, this will feel noticeably lighter despite being visually larger.
What's the cord length and can I shorten it?
The pendant comes on a 75 cm suede cord — long enough to slip over the head without any clasp. If you want it shorter, you can knot the cord higher, or write us through Custom Order and we'll prepare a shorter cord for you. The pendant itself slides off the cord, so swapping to a chain or leather later is straightforward. No bail, no fixed hardware — the object is the material.
How do I care for the Aged Copper inlay over time?
Don't polish it. The Aged treatment is already patinated — copper layers embedded into the carbon core and weathered on purpose. Over years the copper will continue to shift slowly, deepening at its own rhythm. That's the point. Carbon doesn't age, doesn't scratch easily, doesn't react to water or sweat. Wipe with a dry cloth if needed. Avoid abrasive polishes or silver dips — there's no silver here, and they'll strip the patina.
Can I wear it daily — shower, gym, sea?
Yes. Carbon fiber is waterproof and chemically stable — shower, sea, sweat, rain, all fine. The copper inlay is sealed into the surface, not sitting on top, so it won't lift. The suede cord is the only part that doesn't love water; if it gets soaked often it'll stiffen over time. Cord replacement is simple and we can send a new one. The pendant itself is permanent.
What makes this different from the Graphite line?
Aged is its own origin, not a Graphite variant. Graphite reads cool and architectural — pure carbon, dark, neutral. Aged runs warm: copper layers fully inlaid into the carbon, patinated until the whole piece looks weathered, almost archaeological. Same multi-layered matte carbon body, handcrafted, CNC-cut to the Big Line silhouette. But the temperature is different. Choose Aged if you want warmth and slow change. Choose Graphite if you want stillness.
