Blackened Silver Collection
Blackened is a technique, not a property
Two different things darken silver here, and the difference decides how the piece behaves.
Blackening is done at the bench: the metal is deliberately darkened before the piece ever leaves. Living Silver is a property — 925 sterling without rhodium plating darkens on its own, from air and skin, over time.
Seventeen pieces here, all deliberately darkened rather than left to age into it.
Where the black sits
Blackening sinks into recesses and rises off raised edges. On a piece with cut geometry that makes the form more legible: the depth reads as depth instead of flattening under a uniform shine.
With wear the two effects meet — the deliberate black stays in the recesses while the raised surfaces polish back to bright against skin and cloth. The contrast increases rather than fades.
What is in this collection
Thirteen earrings, two necklaces, one ring, one ear cuff. Weights from 1.6 to 40 grams, prices from Rp 2,230,000 to Rp 22,280,000.
Thirteen carry AMULET, the family built around raw, wild-grown stones — on a blackened frame the crystal reads brighter than it does against pale silver. Two carry BRUTALISM — the fourth form of the brand, architecture in silver, an exploration of Soviet brutalist aesthetics developing under the influence of Suprematism. Two carry SIGNATURE ASYMMETRIC, the first form, and one of those two joins silver with carbon.
Can it be reversed
Yes, and that is worth knowing before you buy. Silver cleaner lifts blackening as readily as it lifts natural tarnish — you are choosing a state, not repairing a defect. A scotch pad takes off the top layer of a matte surface and sets a new matte at the same time.
Most people leave it. But nothing here is permanent.
Care
Leave it alone and the piece keeps darkening where it is handled. Take it off before the pool — chlorine darkens silver in a way you did not choose, and unevenly.
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between blackened and oxidised silver?
None - they are two names for the same bench technique, silver deliberately darkened before it ships. The real distinction is against Living Silver, which is a property: unplated 925 darkens on its own from air and skin.
Will the black wear off?
The raised surfaces polish back to bright with wear while the recesses stay dark. The contrast increases rather than fades.
Can I remove the blackening?
Yes. Silver cleaner lifts it as readily as natural tarnish - you are choosing a state, not repairing a defect.
How heavy are these pieces?
From 1.6 grams for an ear cuff to 40 grams for a necklace.
What is BRUTALISM?
The fourth form of the brand: architecture in silver, an exploration of Soviet brutalist aesthetics developing under the influence of Suprematism.
Are they all silver?
Sixteen are 925 sterling silver alone; one necklace joins silver with carbon. Each listing states the materials.
