Frequently asked questions
How much does the earring weigh, and how does it sit in the ear?
The THORN Amulet earring is 5.4 grams of 925 sterling silver, size M. It is a mono-earring, worn in one ear. You feel its weight, but it does not pull on the lobe.
Is this a pair or a single earring?
This is a single earring — a mono-earring, one declarative object for one ear. Each THORN Amulet is one of a kind: the stone, its color, and its character never repeat, so the earring comes on its own.
Is the tourmaline real, and how is it set?
The stone is a natural green tourmaline, wild-grown and uncut. It rests inside the silver torpedo with no facets and no setting, held by its own natural form.
Why does the silver darken, and how do I care for it?
The surface is Living Silver — 925 sterling silver without rhodium plating. The earring arrives light and darkens with air and skin: the recesses of the relief go dark, while friction lightens the raised edges. On the volume of the torpedo the patina reads clearly. Patina is a property, not a defect. You can bring the metal back to the light with care — a soft cloth or a silver-cleaning solution. Avoid harsh chemicals and ultrasonic baths.
What is a Thorn Amulet, and what is the AMULET family?
AMULET is a STRUGA family from the RITUAL world: earrings and necklaces with raw, wild-grown stones. The Thorn Amulet is its most expressive type — a torpedo form cut in half, with a crystal grown inside. It is an homage to Daniel Arsham.
