Every stone kept the shape it grew in, so the silver is built around the crystal rather than the crystal ground down to fit a frame. Weights run from 3.5 to 6.5 grams, because the crystal decides the final mass. Each piece is assembled by hand in Bali by master silversmiths; when one sells, the next is made with the same form and finish in about two weeks.

What aquamarine is

Aquamarine is beryl coloured by iron. Change the trace element and the same mineral takes another name: chromium or vanadium gives emerald, and beryl with no colouring impurity at all is goshenite. One crystal structure, several names, decided by what was in the ground.

Beryl stands at 7.5 to 8 on the Mohs scale, which is why it survives daily wear without a protective setting around it.

Why the stones are not cut

Beryl grows in hexagonal prisms with flat terminations, and that growth shape is visible in every piece here. What a jeweller would normally grind away as flaws — inclusions, internal fractures, uneven faces — stays. It is the record of how the crystal formed, and it is the reason no two of these earrings look alike.

Five carry the Thorn Amulet form, three the Classic. THORN came out of the earliest CNC work of the brand and is now cast in volume; around a raw stone it reads as a guard rather than a frame.

The silver around the stone

All eight are cast in 925 sterling silver and finished by hand, with no rhodium plating. The metal arrives light and darkens on its own with air and skin — Living Silver, a property of the surface rather than a coating applied to it.
