Is this a pair of earrings or a single one?
This is a single mono-earring, for one ear. The Thorn Amulet is worn solo, as one accent. The earring is 5.9 grams of 925 sterling silver, size L, article E-0528-L.
How much does it cost, and can I still order one?
$220, Rp 3,920,000. This exact earring is sold and cannot be repeated, because the stone in it is one of a kind. Amulets are finished single pieces rather than made-to-order work, so there is no production time to quote here. The way to a close object is Request a similar one: the workshop looks through the stones it holds and offers what is nearest in colour, size and character.
How much of the stone is visible at size L?
About the last third of it. The large silver body is long, so the crystal stays recessed in the diagonal cut and only its blunt end leaves the metal. On the small size the body is short and the whole stone hangs free below the silver. That is the practical difference between S and L in this line, beyond the weight.
How heavy is 5.9 grams in the ear, and how long does the earring hang?
It is felt. The clasp is a hinged huggie that closes in the lobe, and the body ends around the line of the jaw — long enough to move when you turn your head. Size L is the largest in the Thorn Amulet line: the small pieces sit at 3.5 to 3.9 grams, the medium at 4.9 to 5.4, and only three earrings are made at L at all.
What is the stone inside, and can I choose a different one?
Inside sits an uncut, wild-growth pink tourmaline — no faceting, no setting, glossy, striated along the prism. It is one of four pink stones in the earring line and the only one at the large size. The piece is made one at a time, so there is only this stone in it and it cannot be swapped for another.
Why does the silver darken, and how do I care for it?
The surface is Living Silver — 925 silver with no rhodium plating. The earring arrives bright and darkens with air and skin: the cut, the barbs and the recesses go dark first, while friction lightens the raised edges. That is the difference from oxidation, where the metal is darkened at the bench before the piece leaves the workshop. The patina is a property, not a defect, and the metal can be brought back to the light: a soft cloth or a silver-cleaning solution, worked gently around the stone. Avoid harsh chemicals and ultrasonic baths.
Does the stone mean anything or have an effect?
STRUGA describes the stone as material, geology and form — not as a source of power. An amulet is an object and what it means to its owner, with no promise of any effect.
