Frequently asked questions
Is this a pair of earrings or a single one?
This is a mono-earring — one object, not a pair. Every Thorn Amulet is singular: its stone is chosen individually, so no two pieces are alike. It is worn on its own.
What is a Thorn Amulet, and how does it relate to the AMULET family?
The Thorn Amulet is a type within the AMULET family, in the RITUAL world. It carries the THORN form into three dimensions: the setting reads like a torpedo cut in half, holding a raw, wild-grown stone inside. It is an homage to Daniel Arsham.
How much does the earring weigh, and what does size M mean?
The earring weighs 5 grams of 925 silver. Size M is the middle of the Thorn Amulet range: the setting is neither small nor large. The stone is a raw, uncut pink tourmaline.
What stone is this, and does it promise any kind of effect?
The stone is an uncut pink tourmaline, grown in its natural form. STRUGA describes the stone only as material, color, and form — no effect, power, or protection is attributed to it. What the amulet means to its owner is for the owner to decide.
Why does the silver darken, and how do I care for it?
The surface is Living Silver — 925 silver without rhodium plating. The earring arrives light and darkens with air and skin: the recesses of the relief deepen, while friction lightens the raised edges. The patina is a property, not a defect. You can bring the metal back to the light with care — a soft cloth or a silver-cleaning solution. Avoid harsh chemicals and ultrasonic baths.
