Frequently asked questions
How much does the earring weigh, and how does it sit in the ear?
The pin earring is 3.7 grams of 925 sterling silver. The weight is light and does not pull on the ear. It is a mono-earring, worn in a single ear.
Is this a single earring or a pair?
It is a mono-earring — one object for one ear, not a pair. This is how STRUGA intends it to be worn: a single accent rather than symmetry.
What are the Pills pendants, and are they fixed in place?
Two pendants sit on the shaft of the pin — an elongated capsule and a round tablet. They turn freely on the shaft, and each catches the light in its own way. The Pills pendants come from the EXPERIMENTAL family, where STRUGA reworks familiar objects.
Why does the silver darken, and how do I care for it?
The surface is Living Silver — 925 silver without rhodium plating. The earring arrives light and darkens with air and skin: the recesses of the relief darken while friction lightens the raised edges. The patina is a property, not a defect. You can bring the metal back to the light with care: a soft cloth or a silver-cleaning solution. Avoid harsh chemicals and ultrasonic baths.
What is the BLADE family?
BLADE is STRUGA's second form, a CNC aesthetic in silver: the flat planes of a link, as if cut from sheet material. BLADE began with a chain link and lives in bracelets, chains and chokers, as well as in a pin, an earring and a cuff. In this earring, the BLADE form is reduced to a pin.
