Frequently asked questions
How much does the earring weigh, and how does it sit on the ear?
The earring is 2.5 grams of 925 sterling silver. It is a light object: the small cylinder is compact, and the S size draws it in close to the lobe. It is worn as a single mono earring.
Is the stone treated or faceted?
No. The pink tourmaline is untreated and wild-grown — it is not faceted. The stone sits inside the silver cylinder in its natural form, with no prong setting. Each stone is its own in colour and character.
Why does the colour of the stone shift?
Pink tourmaline (rubellite) is pleochroic: its tone depends on the angle at which light meets it, so a single stone reads differently from two sides. The pink comes from traces of manganese in the crystal.
Why does the silver darken, and how should it be cared for?
The surface is Living Silver — 925 silver with no rhodium plating. The earring arrives light and darkens with air and skin: the recesses of the relief deepen, while friction lightens the raised edges. The patina is a property, not a defect, and it does not touch the stone. You can return the silver to its lighter state with care: a soft cloth or a silver-cleaning solution. Avoid harsh chemicals and ultrasonic baths.
What is the AMULET family?
AMULET is a STRUGA family from the RITUAL world: earrings and necklaces built around untreated, wild-grown stones. The amulets in this family range widely — from quiet, classic pieces in a Japanese reading of minimalism to large and visible ones. This earring is the Classic type in the small size.
