Frequently asked questions
How much does the earring weigh, and how is it worn?
The earring is 2.5 grams of 925 sterling silver, size S. It is light, worn in a single ear as one accent. This is a mono earring: you receive one earring, not a pair.
What is achroite?
Achroite is colourless tourmaline, the rarest member of the tourmaline family: a crystal without a chromophore, and so without colour. The stone is natural and unworked. In this earring it is held by an open silver cylinder, so it reads clearly from every side.
Is the stone enclosed in a setting, or visible?
The Classic Amulet cylinder is open, with no cap. It holds the achroite without hiding it: the stone stays visible from any angle. This is the Classic type within the AMULET family.
Why does the silver darken, and how do I care for it?
The surface is Living Silver — 925 silver without rhodium plating. The earring arrives light and darkens with air and skin: the recesses of the relief deepen, while wear lightens the raised edges. The cylinder will darken over time; the achroite stays clear. Patina is a property, not a defect. To return the metal toward the light, care for it with a soft cloth or a silver-cleaning solution. Avoid harsh chemicals and ultrasonic baths.
What is the AMULET family?
AMULET is a STRUGA family from the RITUAL world: earrings and necklaces built around unworked, wild-grown stones. The family holds three types of amulet — Classic, Thorn, and quartz. This earring is the Classic type: a silver cylinder with a single stone inside.
