The crystal is rubellite — the red-pink reading of the tourmaline family, coloured by manganese. Tourmaline is a boron-silicate and a pyroelectric mineral — a warmed crystal develops an electrical charge at its ends. Classic Amulet holds it in an open silver cylinder — no facets, no prongs. 925 silver, handmade.
