Frequently asked questions
How much does the earring weigh, and is it heavy on the ear?
The Amulet earring is 2.5 grams of 925 sterling silver with its stone. It sits light and doesn't pull on the lobe, so it holds up to everyday wear. Size S.
Is this a pair of earrings or a single one?
This is a single earring (mono). Wear it on its own, or alongside other STRUGA silver. The stone inside it is the only one of its kind — this is a one-of-one object; there is no second tourmaline like it.
What is the stone, and why is it two-toned?
It is natural tourmaline, untreated, wild-grown. It is bicolor: one tone drifts into pink, the other into grey, and neither takes over the whole stone. The small Classic Amulet cylinder is open at both ends, so the stone is visible straight through, from every side.
Why does the silver darken, and how do I care for the earring?
The surface of the cylinder is Living Silver — 925 silver without rhodium plating. The earring arrives light and darkens from air and skin: the recesses of the relief deepen, while friction lightens the raised edges. The patina is a property, not a defect. The tourmaline itself does not darken; only the silver takes on patina. To bring the metal back to the light, care for it with a soft cloth or a silver-cleaning solution. Avoid harsh chemicals and ultrasonic baths.
What is the AMULET family?
AMULET is a STRUGA family from the RITUAL world: earrings and necklaces built around an untreated, wild-grown stone. The family holds three types — Classic, Thorn, and quartz. This earring belongs to the Classic type: a silver cylinder, open at both ends, with the stone held inside.
