Frequently asked questions
How much does the earring weigh, and how is it worn?
The earring is 3.5 g of 925 sterling silver (92.5% pure silver). It is a single earring — worn alone, in one ear, as a standalone object, without a pair. The setting is size S.
What is a THORN Amulet, and what sets it apart?
The Thorn Amulet is the most expressive type within the AMULET family, from the world of RITUAL. Its form reads like a torpedo cut in half — as if unearthed after thousands of years, with a crystal grown inside. It is an homage to Daniel Arsham.
Is the stone real, and why is each earring one of a kind?
Set inside is a raw, wild-grown pink tourmaline — uncut, in its natural form. Each stone is chosen by hand for its specific piece, so every earring is singular: the colour and character of the stone never repeat. This is the third earring in the Thorn Amulet series, and the first where the stone changed — the first two held aquamarine.
Why does the silver darken, and how do I care for it?
The surface is Living Silver — 925 sterling silver without rhodium plating. The earring arrives light and darkens with air and skin: recessed areas of the relief deepen, while friction lightens the raised edges. The patina is a property, not a defect. To bring the metal back toward the light, care for it with a soft cloth or a silver-cleaning solution. Avoid harsh chemicals and ultrasonic baths, especially near the stone.
What is the AMULET family?
AMULET is a STRUGA family from the world of RITUAL: earrings and necklaces set with raw, wild-grown stones. The pieces within it range widely — from the quiet and classic to the large and self-declaring. The most expressive of them is the Thorn Amulet. Handcrafted in Bali, Indonesia.
