A silver capsule and a round scored tablet hang together from one jump ring on a fine cable chain, 75 cm long. Two pharmacy forms cast in 925 sterling silver; the whole object weighs 7.3 g. Worn unisex. EXPERIMENTAL family, LAB world.
The object is made to order; production takes about two weeks. Price — $260.
Material: 925 sterling silver, no rhodium plating.
World and family: LAB — EXPERIMENTAL, the zone where everyday objects are rendered in silver.
Form: a capsule and a flat round tablet on one jump ring, on a fine cable chain.
Surface: Living Silver — it arrives light and darkens with air and skin; patina is a property, not a defect.
Weight and length: 7.3 g including the chain, chain length 75 cm.
Lead time and price: made to order, about two weeks; $260.
Care: a soft cloth or a silver-cleaning solution; no harsh chemicals, no ultrasonic baths.
Two objects hang from the chain, not one. The capsule is a cylinder with rounded ends and a visible seam where the two halves meet. Beside it, on the same jump ring, sits a flat round tablet with a straight score line across it. Both forms are cast in silver and hand-finished to a light polished shine. The chain is thin, cable-linked, with a plain clasp; at 75 cm the object falls below the chest and reads over a t-shirt or a sweater.
EXPERIMENTAL — a zone of pure creativity: STRUGA experiments with form and material and steps beyond jewelry, into clothing and object design. In jewelry it takes the familiar things around us and reimagines them — Triple Drills, Mushroom, Pills, BearRabbit. Here it is literal: a pharmacy form, a disposable and impersonal thing, repeated in metal that is worn for years.
The surface is Living Silver — 925 sterling silver with no rhodium plating. The object arrives light and darkens with air and skin: the score line of the tablet and the seam of the capsule sink into shadow, while friction lightens the raised areas. The patina is a property, not a defect, and the metal can be brought back toward the light with care. How this surface works — on the Living Silver page.
How Pills differs from the other EXPERIMENTAL necklaces
The family holds three necklaces, and all three hang on a 75 cm chain. What changes is the object on the chain, its weight and its price.
| Necklace |
Object on the chain, and weight |
Price |
| Pills — this necklace |
A capsule and a tablet on one ring, 7.3 g |
$260 |
| Signature Mushroom |
A whole mushroom in volume, 11.0 g |
$370 |
| Blade Pin |
The BLADE pin, the smallest element, 7.0 g |
$190 |
Pills is the middle one by weight and the only one where two objects hang from the ring: it is built from two forms rather than one. The mushroom is heavier and larger, the pin is smaller and cheaper. The same pharmacy form lives in earrings too: Classic Pills — 3.7 g, $150, and Pin Pills — 3.7 g, $210.
Who it is for, and when
This necklace suits people who want one quiet object rather than a large pendant. From a distance it is a light mark on a long chain; up close the form is read at once, with no explanation needed.
7.3 grams is a weight you feel on the neck without being pulled by it: most of the mass sits in the two objects at the bottom, and the chain spreads the rest along its whole length. At 75 cm it asks for no open collar — the object lies over clothing. STRUGA does not divide objects by gender: the same length sits the same way on any body.
It is worn alone, or layered with other STRUGA silver — then Pills stays the lowest and longest element. As a gift it lands with people who wear silver every day without taking it off, and who choose an object by its form rather than by a stone. For a different chain length, this is a Custom Order.
About STRUGA. STRUGA is a dark silver jewelry brand founded by Dmitry Strugovshchikov and Ekaterina Strugovshchikova, handcrafted in the Bali workshop by master silversmiths. Every piece is 925 sterling silver. This necklace is Living Silver: the surface carries no plating and darkens with air and skin — the darkening is part of the design, and the object changes through contact with the environment and the wearer.
