If you are in Bali

You can visit my workshop with notice. I show you the catalogue in person, you try on pieces, we talk about what fits the gift context. Pieces in stock can be wrapped same-day. Pieces made-to-order take 7-14 days — if you have time on the island, perfect. If not, I ship to your home address after you leave. Email me ahead to schedule.

If you are ordering remotely

Standard online order. The piece ships from Bali in presentation packaging. You can leave a note at checkout and I include a handwritten card. Shipping times: 5-9 business days to USA and EU, 4-7 to Asia and Australia. Free shipping on orders over $400 to USA/EU/UK, $300 to Asia/Australia.

Packaging — how STRUGA pieces arrive

Every piece ships in a presentation box — heavy paperboard, dark exterior, soft fabric interior with the piece secured. Inside the box: a STRUGA care card, a soft cleaning cloth, and the piece itself. Outside packaging is plain — no STRUGA branding visible from the courier label, which matters if the gift is a surprise.

For premium gift presentation, request the leather-wrapped box at checkout. $25 add-on, hand-wrapped in oxidised leather, embossed STRUGA logo. Optional ribbon. Looks like the piece inside — heavy, deliberate, architectural rather than decorative.

Personalisation — what is possible

Some pieces can be personalised before shipping. The most common requests:

Engraving

Inside-band engraving on rings — date, initials, short phrase. Up to 30 characters. Free on commissioned pieces, $40 on catalogue pieces. Add 3-5 days to delivery.

Custom oxidation

Lighter or darker patina than catalogue default. Specify in order notes. Free, no time delay.

Sizing for a specific finger

Standard sizing protocol applies — sizing kit available, ring size chart on each product page. Email me before ordering if the gift recipient cannot try a sizing kit beforehand. There are workarounds — measuring an existing ring, asking a sibling to measure a sleeping hand. We figure it out.

Custom inscription on tag pendants

Some pendants accept a tag with a custom inscription. $60 add-on, 5-7 days delivery added. Limited to specific designs — ask in your enquiry.

Gift cards — when you do not know exactly what to choose

STRUGA gift cards are available in $100, $250, $500, $1,000 denominations. Digital delivery via email or printed certificate by post. The recipient picks their own piece, gets the sizing right, and orders directly. Removes the risk of getting the wrong family or size.

Gift cards do not expire. They can be used on any catalogue piece or against a custom commission.

How long does shipping take internationally?

5-9 business days to USA and Europe, 4-7 to Asia and Australia, 7-14 to rest of world. Express options shave 2-3 days.

Will the piece pass through customs without issues?

Yes. Sterling silver jewellery has standard customs codes and clears in most countries within 2-3 days. Customs duties may apply depending on destination — typically 0-25% of declared value. The buyer is responsible for any duties.

Can I order in Bali and have it shipped to me at home?

Yes. This is common for travellers who do not want to carry the piece through subsequent travel. I ship from the workshop to your home address after you leave the island.

Can I include a handwritten note?

Yes. Add the note in your order checkout, and I include a card written by hand on STRUGA card stock with your message.

What if the size is wrong?

Sizing exchanges within 90 days are free for the first exchange. Send the piece back, I resize or remake, ship it back. Standard return policy applies for buyer's-remorse returns within 30 days.

Are STRUGA pieces hallmarked?

Yes. Every piece is hallmarked 925. The hallmark is small and placed inside the band on rings, on the clasp on chains.

Is silver from Bali different than silver from anywhere else?

The metal itself is standard 925 sterling. What is different is the workshop tradition. Bali has been a centre for silversmithing for centuries — the hand-finishing skills here are deeper and more granular than what most Western workshops can match. The combination of my design language and that hand-finishing tradition is what makes a STRUGA piece different from machine-finished silver from anywhere else.
